Current Obsession: Velvet

Look out satin and silk! A new luxurious fabric is making some serious noise this Winter!  VELVET is BACK people!  With designers like Stella McCartney and Vivienne Westwood working with this sensuous textile, its no wonder that mass retailers like Aldo and Topshop are also jumping on the band wagon!

The secret to wearing velvet and not provoke a "Hugh Hefner" reference, is to wear pieces that cut close to the body and are well-structured.  Its easy to look like you're wearing a sack of velvet if the fit isn't proper.   Hesitant to wear a full-on velvet ensemble?  There are plenty of choices that have small touches of the fabric.  So pick a piece, make sure you get it tailored and rock it this season!!!
