Sheer Elegance

The elegance of sheer has drifted through the decades and the trend is larger than life. We understand that some may have a bit of a hesitation or may be left wondering how to pull it off. While we are not huge fans of the "let me see your big bright bra under your completely sheer flowy top" trend, we do like a subtle hint of sheer. There is a fine line loves--let's keep it defined! The fact of the matter is...we love the sheer trend. We love the slight element of surprise when the light catches the garment. So fun!! We have provided a few ideas for inspiration below...we hope you slip into something sheer that suits you!! XO

B wanted to showcase her purple shoes on her wedding day without losing the elegance of the wedding gown so she had a tailor cut a half circle in the front of the dress (terrifying & daring!) while leaving one sheer layer.

We love this Easton Pearson sheer dress!! This dress is completely on the sheer trend wagon but is daring with its' bold stripes and bright hue. The sheer plays down the bold stripes just enough (almost like acting as a cancellation to the widening horizontal lines with the vertical direction of the printed sheer). This could work with all shapes and sizes!! LOVE!

This American Apparel maxi is perfect for a night out. Sometimes a tight/short dress is a bit much but this sheer maxi dress is just the ingredient needed to make this look tasteful & sexy. Bonkers!

This ASOS dress is about to be purchased...well, needs to be. One of us is about to snag this one and, so should you. The sheer panel is AH-mazing...love it. Sheer paneling is a perfect way to wear sheer in a subtle yet sexy way.

The sheer adds maturity to this charming yellow Nishe top. We love the feminine touch a sheer top adds to a structured look. We recommend opting for a lace tank rather than a bra when the top is completely sheer. Opt for a nice lace bra when there are covered panels added to the sheer.

Enjoy the rest of your Thursday loves!

XOXO,
B&M
